Why did you do this?
The purpose of .NET University is to provide a quick and easy way to get an overview of the new features in .NET 3.0, as well as provide materials for the community to re-present to other technical audiences.

Why isn’t the content deeper?
.NET University is here to provide you a way to get an introduction to the technical concepts, so you’ll have an idea of what is available in .NET 3.0. Deeper teaching is available at numerous partners. Contact your local Developer Evangelist for recommended training partners in your area.

Why can't I get t-shirts and certificates outside of the US and Canada?
This is a program that's just getting started, so to keep things simple logistically, we're only offering t-shirts and certificates to teachers/students in the US and Canada. We'll continue to evaluate this and may offer the goodies more widely in the future.

In the meantime, you can still download the content and use it to teach folks (or learn yourself) about .NET 3.0, so long as you do not charge a fee for the course.

Why officially register versus just downloading and using the content?
Setting up a formal registration for the course will allow you to attract students by offering the shirts and certificates; but it will also hold both attendees and instructors more accountable to finish with the added structure. Registering for the event gives it a more formal feel, and there is no cost for doing so. It also gives the instructor and registered attendees a chance to discuss the course on a private forum.

What is the purpose of the alumni page?
To give those who have officially registered and completed the course (and want to be recognized for it) a way to be visible to their community as having completed the courseware.

Can I teach this content to anyone?
Yes, as long as you do not charge a fee for the course. The courseware is intended to offer a no-cost overview to any and all developers interested in learning about .NET. It also offers first time teachers a well-defined and organized set of slides and labs to train others.
